2D CFD Flutter under Deterministic Free-stream Gust
The animation shows flutter and limit cycle oscillations of the Great Belt Bridge, subjected to sinusoidal vertical gust with identical frequency as the torsional frequency.
The deterministic free-stream turbulence is generated using my in-house code VXturb and the CFD solver is Guido Morgenthal’s VXflow. Thanks also to Samuel Tesfaye, who helped with the video.
